Vasanth has been successfully representing many Fortune 100 companies and domestic clients in several high-stake arbitration proceedings under ICA, LCIA, ICC and SIAC rules of Arbitration and also represented them in enforcement and execution proceedings before the High Courts and Supreme Court of India. He has also gained significant experience in corporate commercial litigation, white collar crimes, tender litigation, anti-trust litigation before various courts and tribunals in India.

Vasanth has been regularly advising many foreign OEM's in the Aerospace, Aviation and Defence sector on legal issues arising out of Defence Procurement Procedure, Offset Policy, Supply contracts, Technology Transfers, License Agreements, Offset Contracts, Arms Act, Strategic Partnership/Make In India projects etc.

Apart from the above, in the Projects space, Vasanth has been assisting many multinational companies in many prestigious Energy and Natural Resources projects, Infrastructure and Urban Development Projects.

Vasanth has acted for Ministry of Housing in drafting the Real Estate (Regulation & Development) Bill, 2012 and also been the nominated as a member of core committee of sub-ordinate legislation under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act 2016 set-up by the Ministry of Housing.

  • Represented Builders Association of India, before the Competition Commission of India (CCI) complaining about the anti-competitive activities by means of formation of a cartel amongst the cement manufacturers across India. The CCI held the Cement Manufacturer Association and 11 other cement companies guilty of cartelization and imposed a penalty of more than INR 6500 crores.
  • A premium global multi-beverage company in a writ petition before the Delhi High Court challenging the ruling given by the Authority for Advance Ruling where the question of legal validity of taxation of transfer of IPRs outside India between foreign entities has been raised.
  • Represented Veolia Environment, in a Biomass Power Project dispute with its Indian partners before the Delhi High Court and the Arbitral Tribunal appointed by the High Court in a multi-million dollar claim.
  • A Japanese car manufacturer in a multi-million dollar dispute under a distributor agreement with its sole distributor of cars in India in arbitration proceedings before Singapore International Arbitration Centre.
  • Handled enforcement of a foreign award rendered by the London Court for International Arbitration on behalf of a French Telecom Company for an amount of over US$28 million.
  • Handled execution of an award rendered by the International Chamber of Commerce before the High Court of Delhi for a Korean multinational company in a construction dispute relating to a captive power plant project within an oil refinery.
  • Advised a Swedish defence major on the most prestigious $11-Billion tender floated by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India to supply 126 medium range Multi-Role Combat Aircraft (MMRCA) for the Indian Air Force.
  • Advised an Israeli defence company on various defence tenders issued under Defence Procurement Procedure, for Indian Navy and the Indian Army.
  • Advised and assisted a leading Fortune 100 Company on various 24 x 7 Water PPP Projects in the state of Delhi, Maharashtra & Tamil Nadu.
  • Advised IRCON for the Rail Coach Factory project at Rae Barelli in Uttar Pradesh.
  • Advised JcDecaux Advertising India for operation and management of Bus Queue Shelters (BQS) with advertising rights on Build Operate and Transfer (BOT) basis in the City of Delhi.
  • Advised Ministry of Finance, Government of India - for sui-generis socio-economic PPP in the skill development space to fasten the Prime Ministers Skill Development Mission. Drafted, vetted and finalized the first of its kind Financial Management & Procurement Manual for disbursement of loans and grants.
